All levels and metering have vanished. Layla 3G.

Oh Dear! All my input, output monitoring levels have completely vanished and I don't know what I've done for this to happen. I have successfully recorded one song with no problems but now I can't monitor any signals coming in and no other track sounds except the one I'm recording(input)

I had the option of Echo Layla 3G analog 1/2 as inputs but now it's only analog 1. Also, I was able to listen to both input and outputs through the phones but now everything is through the speakers. I haven't been using Audition Mix or anything and all I changed (to my knowledge) were the outputs from headphones to speakers for the final mix.

Any ideas?

*EDIT* I can hear the playback through the phones. They were turned down  but I still can't see any levels even on playback

Please gentlemen, I've pushed just about every button on the program and I can't get any metering levels, whatsoever. I do need ideas.

On my system with a Mackie firewire interface, under Options>Monitoring>Audition Mix I have "Always Input" selected. Under Options>Metering I usually have "Meter inputs only" unchecked, but if checked, this only turns off the master meter.

Edit: I neglected to say this works perfectly here.

Sorry if this doesn't help as I'm sure you've tried every combination here.

Thanks for that Alan. I have at least got the levels going in edit view but multitrack won't play ball. I tried both your suggestions but no luck. Unfortunately I can't record because I have no level metering.

There's bound to be other ideas?

*EDIT* Alan, I checked and unchecked the "meter inputs Only" button loads of times and nothing worked but on a new session it's all of a sudden working again. Phew! thanks for that m8. All's good
