How about those of us who started off in the Pixellite forums before moving to Syntrillium, and then here? Do we get a medal? cheesy

Compared to certain folks around here I still see myself as a bit of a youthful newcomer... wink

Actually, I was not even aware of the "Pixellite" connection.  I think I started with Cool Edit back in '94 (was it V1.34 then?), but didn't get serious about all this until CEP 2.0 was just on the horizon.

Care to fill me in on where Pixellite fits in the picture.

For starters, search Google Groups on "PixelLite.com".

Which got me precisely nowhere.  And the Wayback Machine (archive.org) only goes back to 1996 and has nothing.

I'm not sure where I fit in, I got to the Synt forums just as the gates were closing - and ended up horribly confused by signatures with ever more urgent pleas to save your soul and jump ship to this AudioMasters place .. Smiley

I came onboard Synt's forum around release 1.0.  I too greatly appreciate Kenny and the Boyz for getting this up and going, cause I wasn't to fond of the Adobe site from the start.  I understand they have come a ways and that's cool, but I still don't do the "Adobe" thing.  To each his/her own.

I also followed from the Syntrillium forum. I didn't really like the Adobe forums. I sometimes take a look there or post once in a while but it's very seldom.

Back last month I was remembering exactly the turbulence and turmoil that is the basis for Mac's recollection.  Never having been homeless, out on the street, or abandoned, I at least felt that way when Synt shut down and Adobe took over. And poor Dorothy on Adobe forums.  She took the brunt of a huge amount of abuse from frantic souls... and a volunteer at that.

Thanks to Kenny, Mac, Chris, Graeme, Steve, and beetle (please forgive any glaring omissions) for settling things out and giving us a stable, vibrant community.
