OK,
After several days wait I recieve a mail saying "thank you for registering choose your complimentary benefit". And there is the Tube compressor, so I click on the link and up comes a partial web page, obviously missing most of the graphics and probably text as well, with an instruction to click the link above to download my complementary benefit......but there is no bl**dy link!

If I didn't like AA so much I would be telling them where to stuff their complementary benefits by now. And of course no mention of the missing Loopology files! angry  angry  angry  angry  angry  angry  angry

There is a tenet in marketing that it is far easier and more profitable to sell to existing customers so look after them, I don't think Adobe ever heard of it.  rolleyes

I've received the email and followed what links are there. The message mentions the tube compressor, but I can't find any link to it. I did see some links with (US) appended which I couldn't access, so for those of us outside the US we're still out luck I think.

Watch Hart Shafer's blog for developments I guess... it's clear they've had more teething problems with all of this than they would like.  While it would have been better had none of these problems arisen, none the less it's been a simultaneous announcement and world-wide release of a substantial suite of programs - plenty of scope for Murphy's Law to operate in...

I think what annoys me most is the arrogance. All it would take is a simple reply "We are very sorry but we are having some teething trouble with this release. We are doing everything we can to sort it out and will contact you as soon as possible" etc.

Even if these exact words haven't been posted by Adobe representatives, I bevlieve that they MUST feel that way.  Especially Hart, who seems to be very interested in the reactions of the "Audition Community".

I had no problem at all obtaining the Tube Compressor after I registered.  I received an email saying "Thanks for registering - Claim your benefit today." And I clicked on the select button under the "Tube Modeled Compressor", which took me to a webpage where I clicked "Download free trial" and it downloaded without hitch.

"Download free trial"

Is that what the complementary benefit is, then - a free trial?

I was surpised by it saying "free trial" on the website as well, but the install program doesn't say anything about it being a trial version at all, and the VST itself doesn't say its limited (granted, I havent really used it yet, though.)

We are very sorry but we are having some teething trouble with this release. We are doing everything we can to sort it out and will contact you as soon as possible.

Cheesy

In all seriousness, we're aware of the issues. Last week I was in a flurry of conversation trying to figure out why people weren't getting their registration email pointing them to the downloads and we think we figured it out, but of course a lot of the people who need to fix it didn't come in on the weekend. I'm optimistic that we'll have the solution this week. In any case, if you continue to not get the email, call customer support and tell them your problem and they should be able to provide you the link to the download.

Cheers,

--Hart
