Hi, maybe a dumb question, but nevertheles, is it possible to record an acoustic guitar with 2 mics on two seperate channels with a soundcard with only one input? I connected my two mics with my beringher mixer and than connected the main out with the line in on my soundcard. I tried to record stereo and the plan was that I'd get one stereo wave file and I could adjust the volumes and effects seperatly. In reality, I got a mono file and the two inputs were mixed in one file.

You got what you asked for! If recording in edit view, you're asked for the format (mono and stereo) when you start to record the file. If recording in multitrack view, click on the "Rec1" button beside each track to specify what you want.
