Hi there,
I have been successfully inserting .AVI's into CEP2 multi-track for some time now, without any problems.
However now, every time I go to insert one (even one that used to work) I get a 'CoolEdit must close' error and it quits.
I can still load up audio fine, it's just the .avi's now crash CEP2.
The only 'change' in my system of late has been that I upgraded to Windows Media Player 9.. perhaps it screwed up some codecs or something?
Has anyone here tried importing .avi's since upgrading Media Player?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Oh boy.... we've heard of this with wma files (see
'Attempting to save as a WMA file'
but not with .avi. You could try reinstalling CEP over top your current installation, but this really sounds more like a Windows issue, which some of our gurus may have more to say about.

Thanks for the link, Music Conductor.
Indeed the issues seem extremely similar.. I'm going to attempt the fix they mention in there (renaming the 'WMVCORE2.DLL' etc etc) later tonight.
Appreciate your help.

I was hoping somebody else would jump in by now, but in any case you're welcome, and please keep us posted (pun intended).
