Hey guys,

I'm getting ready to have some tracks mastered and I was just wondering if there is an easy method to bring the level of my mixdown down, without having to go through my entire session file turning every track down.

Basically what i'm trying to do is turn all my tracks down proportionately to one another so my mixdown waveform isn't excessively loud and is in a stage that is ready to be mastered. Will it degrade audio quality if i just use the amplitude feature to bring the mix down, or will i lose audio information that appears to be peaking (but doesn't sound distorted?)

Cheers,
Jack

Jack, just pull your Master Level down. This can be found on the "Mixer" tab of Multitrack at the right. This is your Global Master Level

Make sure that you are using 32 bit mixing and then turn the master fader down. If you mix to a 32 bit floating poiint file then you don't have to worry about the odd over(provided your mastering studio can handle 32 bit files and any plug-ins you use are 32 bit clean).

Cheers

James.

I seriously couldn't find the master channel. What a nub mistake. I thought it was a bit bizarre that audition 1.5 didn't have a master fader.

Thanks heaps for helping the newb guys. Much appreciated.
