Simple Machines Forum suggestions
I like the new forum appearance.
But as I found a tiny flaw, I allowed myself to create this topic.
Here is the flaw: the Neptune skin (which is the best-looking one IMO) does not show the AudioMasters forum name anywhere at its top.

Re: Simple Machines Forum suggestions
It's early days with this one - several things need a little alteration, including the way it's all named. Originally, AudioMasters was all run into one word, just as it is in the URL. Personally, I think that we should stick to this... (as we now appear to be doing!)

Just as an FYI for other members, in the profile control panel there is a link to change the "Look and Layout" of the forum. You can select one of the other themes that are installed to suit your preference. We can easily add more down the road.

Re: Simple Machines Forum suggestions
OK, two more things.
I just got three topic reply notifications. Two came from Audio Masters (note the space) and the third one (which was about a different topic) from AudioMasters. Judging from SteveG's post I suspect that a moderator changed the name in the email exactly at that moment - but if not, then there's something to fix.
Next: Despised7, you avatar looks strange, at least in the Neptune skin. It has scrollbars - looks like its size exceeds what is allowed for this skin.

Re: Simple Machines Forum suggestions
I wanted to upload a screenshot so you can see what your Firefox can't show (nothing special, to be honest), but I can't see how to attach an image to my post... Has this functionality been lost? How about uploading sound files?

Re: Simple Machines Forum suggestions
You should still be able to attach files; both images and sounds.
When posting a new message look for a little option below the text box that says "Additional Options". If it's not there, then let me know!

Re: Simple Machines Forum suggestions
The "Additional options" allows access to three checkboxes: "Notify me of replies", "Return to this topic" and "Don't use smileys". I can't see anything about adding files.
By the way, thanks for more skins. I am using the black one now (forgot its name) - pretty scary, but matches Zune XP scheme

Ok, you should be able to post attachments in the Recordings Showcase now. I'll adjust the settings for the rest of the forums also.

How about adding flac and maybe ape to the allowed file types?

Never heard of those file types before. What are they for?

Re: Simple Machines Forum suggestions
Lossless audio compression. APE and FLAC algorithms compress audio (wave) files only to around 50% original size, much less than ogg or mp3, but all information is retained. There is an independent FLAC filter available for AA, so external encoding/decoding application is not necessary.
One more thing (sorry for multiple posts - but I keep finding things). In the old forum, if there were multiple replies to a watched topic, I got only one notification until I accessed the topic again. Now, I am pretty (though not 100%) sure that I got two notifications from this thread when I was away from it. Can this be fixed, so we don't get 50 notifications over a night from a very active watched topic?

Re: Simple Machines Forum suggestions
I'll look into the notifications.
I added the file types also. Sounds cool.
