I know, I know.  Everyone has a stuttering problem with AA at some point.  But I was hoping mine was at least a little unique.  I didn't have the problem with my ASIO driver when I used the M-Audio Fast Track.  But I've removed that interface in favor of my older (but way better) EMU 1820m with Pathcmix software.  I track with Reaper and have no trouble with playback stuttering in Reaper.  But now AA3 is suddenly stuttering on playback.  I only use the Edit view.  I have an XP machine.  I've disabled all antivirus software and closed all browsers etc.  Besides, I'm pretty sure it isn't anything like that or I probably would have had the problem with the FastTrack.

Anyone else using an EMU 1820m or similar who has/had a stuttering problem?

Thanks.

Just bumping this since it continues to be a problem.  It almost sounds like it's having sync problems.  As I said above, I have read the posts on this site about general tips for avoiding this, but I can pretty much guarantee my system is fast enough.  This is the fastest and most capable computer I've ever used and I've never had a problem with this in the past.

Cheers

Well, I have an 1820m, but I've never had stuttering with it, I'm afraid. And it's not on a particularly high-spec machine either. (It used to be a high-spec machine, but they changed what high-spec is...  sad )

Rats.  I wish I could figure this out.  I'm stuck listening to AA3 on my crappy REalTek soundcard.  Very frustrating.
