Whilst playing with MC's plosive problem, it appeared that I could only set a low pass, at lowest 20 Hz, with the parametric equalizer.  Is there any way to set the LP at 10 or 5 or 3, or should I consider this unnecessary 'audiologically?'

For that sort of filtering you would have to turn to either Scientific Filter or FFT Filter. Or just delete everything under your low frequency in the Spectral View.

Is it fine to delete the low frequency? So one can treat as no use at all?

Unless you are recording Cathedral Organ music, yes. And even then, most people don't have large enough rooms to reproduce it correctly, or the equipment to do so. So unless you have a good reason to keep it, then get rid of it, yes.
