If there is going to be an AA$ why wait for those things?

2 of them you can get right now

"more more more SPEED"
A decent PC with a 10k rpm hard drive and you won't know yourself - $200AUS.

"more stability"
AA is only as stable as the platform - good gear, right & up to date drivers and no crashes - trust me on this one.

You're surely right, but AA3 is really slower than AA1.5 with the same project, with the same effects etc...
(I'm talking about multitracks working)...
And with a similar project (as audio resolution, tracks number, 3d party effects...) it's really slower in comparison to another sequencer
like Cubase SX3...

And, in the end, another request for the Wish List:

- same USA and European price: why, here in Europe, we pay 418 EUR for the same thing that in the USA costs, at the
actual change, something like 237 EUR?

You are also right it is slower and in simple terms it is easy to see why by examining the structure of the session files (or just look at the main screen).

In 1.5 you had a simple 3 setting EQ for the track and not much else where as in AA3 there is a very significant increase in track related information which must be processed I suspect very often and inefficiently.  But you can't ask an app to do more and yet run faster smiley

In the absence of a patch then a 10k drive is the solution

And yes its slower than most of the competition but this is the ONLY app in the game which has a fair dinkum interface and not some sort of Fisher Price toy interface LOL

Can't be shipping & handling - nothing like a bit of price gouging sad

I was running a 74GB 10K Raptor but on my new PC build I decided to upgrade to 2x intel SSD drives in RAID0.
I am glad I did. Now THAT was an upgrade. A lot faster than the 10k raptor was. Especially opening/saving/closing/editing is a breeze.

Yes I have tried that Raid 0 on another PC as an experiment and yes you can get a further 50% speed increase easy with 2 Raptors.
Even better with the newer VelociRaptor - pretty well silent.

We need official compatibility with both Windows 7-32 bit & 64 bit versions.

In my studio pc I have just ghosted my C drive to  a new 10k Raptor (Casper & Nero - what great/appropriate names) - my current AA projects currently run off my H drive which is already a 10k Raptor - everything runs even faster now.

Laziness & lack of time prohibits me from moving the Raid 0 setup on my other pc to this one :-0

Biggest boost you can give your PC at the moment is a solid state hard drive - and they are getting cheaper all the time!  grin

The official line on this is that yes, that video is out there - but no comments are to be made about it. So I'm afraid that this thread gets locked...
