Hi,
Can anyone help with adding effects to my tracks on Adobe Audtion 3. After adding a few effects I get an error msg saying not enough CPU on my computer to use this effect. It also causes crackling once I have added more than a few effects. I also am finding it hard to understand why my recordings seem to save some many .wav files.
Regards,
Ian.

After adding a few effects

Which effects?  Some are more cpu intensive than others and you may want to try sending effects to a bus to reduce the instances of those effects

What CPU etc is it?

Probably CPU and possibly hard disk speed related

AA3 sends everything direct to disk in multiview (trust me this is a positive thing as is all those files)

But you may want to check out MediaSweeper to sort out your excess or unused files.

thank you all for the suggested fixes. The message I get is: the plug in was unable to load, CPU load limit exceeded. I am using VST/UAD effect, mainly compression and reverb. My PC is brand new and when I check the system performance it is only using less than 20per cent?
thanks Ian.
