Greetings all,

So I've been using Adobe Audition 2.0 and I've been getting some REALLY annoying pops when I play back tracks.  The pops arent' there in the recording but in the playback.  Also, when I export the song as an MP3, those pops are still there.  I've increased the size of the buffersize as seen here

and it still doesn't seem to help.  I'm using a Behringer 4 channel mixer>MAudio Delta 44 breakout box>MAudio Delta44 soundcard.

Any advice is GRATELY appreciated!

Thanks,
Don

WWW

How do you know that the pops aren't on the recording?

Cheers

James.

I know this because I checked the waves in the tracks and there are no wave fluctuations where the pops are and also, if I play a file back 2-3 times, the pops are sometimes in different places.

Then it's your computer resources being taken up by other programs.  This is not Audition's fault.  Check to see if you have any programs running in the background (antivirus, internet stuff, automatic updates, etc.).  Disable these temporarily and try your playback again.

WWW

Try recording at 44.1 instead of 48k and also see if it happens when exporting as a wav rather than an mp3

shocked From the looks of your desktop, it would seem that you might have alot of apps running in the background.  That could be the cause of those pop sounds.  I exprienced these when I was using CEP, but that changed when I freed up my primary hardrive.

Hope this helps.
