Hey guys, Just recevied a Midi Controller Keyboard.  I have figured out how to assign midi events to actions but I can't figure out how to assign say a rotary control to teh faders in the mixer.  Is this possible?
I am just setting them up in the Hot Keys/midi Triggers panel.  Is there a better way?
I appreciate any help you can give me.

As far as I recollect faders can only be controlled via devices that can generate Mackie control protocol emulation over MIDI or have special drivers like the Frontier Tranzport or Alphatrack. They are set up in the Preferences/External Controllers page. There is no direct MIDI controlled faders option.

Thats what I was afraid of.  I didn't see the options for hot keys.  Although you can use the mouse wheel to control them.  I was considering a BCF fader panel so I guess the Fader panel it is.  I appreicate your help.

Yes, the BCF fader panel works pretty well with AA in the Mackie emulation mode.

WWW

Mackie Control is MIDI.  Search the forums and google around for info on the specifics of Mackie control assigments and MIDI translation.

Yes but what I am saying is that Audition doesn't understand basic MIDI controller info unless it is in Mackie format. It only can convert MIDI instructions into basic keypress operations.
