Hello there,

While I play / record audio in audition 2.0, if I switch to another window other than audition the play/ record stops which is very inconvenient.

Any solutions please?

I'm using Win Xp

Thanks

There is only one - Go to Edit > Audio Hardware Setup and remove the check in the box that says "Release ASIO Driver in Background".

The problem is that the ASIO driver can't be shared (this is an ASIO limitation, not an Audition one) - and if it's released when Windows focus shifts then everything, including recording, will stop. So what you can't do is switch to another app that wants to use your ASIO driver and have it work at the same time as Audition.

WWW

In your audio setup you probably need to untick "Release ASIO Driver in Background"

DOH - SteveG has answered this while I was typing - I must learn to use more than two fingers at a time smiley

Hmm... I must admit that I use all eight of mine, but generally only use my right thumb for the space bar.

Alternatively, you could always learn to use two fingers very fast, I suppose!
