Can anyone comment on these? Do you like them? Are they usefull? Do they work well with AA1.5 / 3.0?

Hardware: Chandler Limited TG2 is a recreation of the rare EMI TG12428 pre amp used in EMI/Abbey Road

Plugins: Chandler - Compressor / Mastering
Plugins: Abbey Road Plugins!!! / Downloadable Demos
Plugins: UAD - Pultec EQ / LA2a / 1176

Note - you need to buy an ILOK to use the Abbey Road Demos.

This is amazing - here we have high-quality plugins and no response as to any use of them.

I'm guessing the reasons you haven't received any responses are because

A: The Abbey Road plug-ins are not compatible with Audition (the only plug-in of the two listed that comes in VST is the TG12413 Limiter, at $335)
B: The Chandler page you listed as a plug-in page only has the Abbey Road plug-ins listed.  There are no Chandler plug-ins.  All the rest on the page is hardware.
C: All of the UAD plug-ins are UAD and/or RTAS versions, neither of which are Audition compatible.  (In fact, the UAD plug-ins require the UAD card and latest version of their Powered Plug-ins software.)

I hope this has curbed your amazement.

Great answer. I really don't know much about plugins.

VST / TG12413 Limiter - sounds interesting - the ILOK 40.00 key needed to install the demo slows me down from trying it....

Thanks.

I haven't yet made the plunge into iLok territory myself.  If I had occasions to take my plug-ins from computer to computer then it might be something I would get.  I don't yet have any reason to transfer plug-ins regularly so I just use the registration key method (and print out the keys for a paper record).

When I started doing the computer recording/mixing thing I didn't know squat about plug-ins.  After poking around the internet for awhile and doing research on plug-ins I realized that a lot of the high-end, brand name gear manufacturers who came out with plug-ins (TC Electronics comes immediately to mind) made them compatible only with Pro Tools and sometimes even with their own proprietary cards (as you can see with UAD).
If a plug-in comes in VST, VSTi, or Direct X (a Microsoft protocol dying a slow death even though it is viable) then it is compatible with Audition.
You should check out the plug-in lists on this forum and on the AA forum for some good advice on plug-ins.

Besides some of the nice free VST plug-ins I've found I'm partial to the plug-ins made by PSP Audioware, a company out of Poland.  You can get some fully functional demos.
