Hi. Looking forward to installing / testing this great app...

One idea that could be really helpful - comparing sessions / files in two folders of the same song. I have working folders of songs on one internal drive and a backup copies on external drives. It'd be great to check that both folders have the same files. This could be done before reducing the excess and / or after.

To compare files in folders, I've used MSFT Sync Toy 2.1 in the past. Would like to see what you might do - as it could be better.

I'll have a look at that and see what we can do.

Damn! posted in the wrong thread.
I'll add it here just for some continuity..

Finally got around to updating MediaSweeper to now cater for Audition v3 XML session files.

You should find it useful  in cleaning up unused session files as Adobe have endorsed XML sessions as the way forward for future versions of Audition.

Its available from the AATranslator website http://www.aatranslator.com.au and it is still donationware.

If you find it useful then please show your support

I have just updated MediaSweeper to cater for Audition 5.5 sesx files.

You can now easily identify and remove 'unused' takes from your drive.  It will also work with multiple sesx files in the same folder.

Didn't think I'd be back this way again   wink

For those interested I have added to MediaSweeper an option to copy all the used files for a session to a user selected folder.

FWIW it also caters for multiple session files in the same folder and it works for Audition SES, XML & SESX files as well as Reaper (RPP) and Vegas (VEG) files
