Using an Emu 0405 USB 2.0 with AA 3.0. My input levels are set to optimum with no clipping but while recording in multitrack with all meters visible the output meter is much higher and shows clipping. Playback is fine, no clipping. The output isn't adjustable on the Emu. It is in AA but the result is a recording with less than optimum level. I imagine I'm missing something simple.....

Weird. A friend of mine had the same thing go wrong and he has a pretty similar set up to yours. He ended up getting different gear and never actually worked out why it did that. Sorry I can't help  huh
