Midi Keyboard as AA Controller?

I recently purchased a midi keyboard controller, namely the Edirol PCR-300, mainly for music composition.

AA is my main editing and mixing software, and since I usually never have more than 8 tracks, I was wondering if I'd be able to use the PCR-300 as an external mixer controller for mixing.

The device is recognized in AA 1.5's midi device window, but I didn't get anything to work yet.

How can I configure this to work?  Is it even possible?
