Recording streaming audio...for me...the dummy. :)

I can't, for the life of me, find the way I used to record streaming audio directly from from the internet into (I believe) the multi-track environment of AA 2.0. Spent 2 hours searching all sorts of archives and trying many combinations. I have 2 Delta 66 cards onboard. Any kind soul have any idea what the secret is? Thanks in advance!

I haven't recording audio streamed from the internet for a long time, but when I did I used software dedicated for that purpose: Total Recorder.  You'll need to be careful with it, because it can install a layer between your actual sound card's driver, but I suspect that only is a problem for the older Windows driver models.  I'd certainly be surprised if the Total Recorder driver affected the ASIO drivers AA2 now uses.

OTOH, with 2 Delta 66 sounds cards, I'd imagine you'd be able to rustle up something...

It's 3 in the morning and yes, I have rustled up a doozy of an orchestration on my Kurzweil synth/workstation for a possible collboration with a mighty fine femme singer/songwriter. For now, I whipped out AA 1.5 and transfered the original geetar/vocal track to AA 2.0 and went on for a few hours of blissful creativity. I have a feeling that 2.0 wont let me record directly like 1.5 easily does. Any other comments, thoughts or observations appreciated. Thanks, Blurkmesiter.

If you've got Delta 66 cards, set the input of your track to the M-Audio Delta monitor mixer.

Hi Phil and thanks for that older link. Upon reviewing that link, I noticed that I had 1.5 at the time and the "monitor mixer", at least in AA 1.5 was a choice I had with that versIon of AA. On the delta panel, there is a monitor mixer choice but when selected, NOTHING is recorded and my level meters are blank. I haven't had such luck so far with AA 2.0 but I am determined to achieve this type of recording without patch cords. It should be able to be done. I guess it is all in the settings.
