Everything was going oooh so smoothly until i decided to demo the Jimi Hendrix Amplitube plugin - it has RAPED my AA2.0. Sorry for the dysphemism but I am REALLY p$ssed off.

I have reinstalled AA2 ( from repair prompt ) . What is the best way to attempt to fix this problem pls.

The actual direct x link is missing from the dropdown window altogether, but it and the Dx plugins ( that work for me consistantly ) still work fine in my AA1.0.

I uninstalled the Jimi Hendrix Amplitube plugin -

IT CRASHES THE MOMENT I TRY TO SWITH TO EDIT VIEW ( how do i copy the text in the pop up crash details window pls )

Any help gratefully appreciated.

XP - p4 2.8ghz 1gig ram

DSP VALUE 24/96 I use both its own and the ASIO4ALL drivers

Thankyou

Try what it says in this thread for a start. And don't ever do a repair, always do an uninstall then reinstall - this is the only way to really get rid of the gremlins.

Chances are that it's one of the rogue .xml files in docs and settings that's causing the problems, though. If you write something to them that they don't like, then they tend to throw a complete sulk.

I have a very similar problem. If I activate any VST plugins, all the DirectX plugin disappear and the only way to make them reappear is to copy the folder Application Data\Adobe\Audition\2.0 from one of my backups so it rolls back to how it was before VST activation (inside my folder in Documents and Settings).

Can anybody help? I can't seem to use VST and DirectX together.

See my reply in your new topic. Basically it means that you have to delete the contents of folder C:\Documents and Settings\[your name]\Application Data\Adobe\Audition\2.0.
