Ok, so I know this has been addressed... more than once. But it seems as if there is no resolve for my dilemma. I read every post I could... I followed Adobe's recommended settings for buffers, ASIO, temp drives, and whatever else I could read-up on. I'm running a P4 2.4 w/ 1gb RAM... now with that kind of setup I shouldn't have problems with it hanging up and causing veins in my head to explode. So I adjusted up... I adjusted down... I adjusted with off the wall settings... nothing works. Can anyone (and everyone) please throw me a bone here. I just recorded a demo for a band the other day with a laptop with half the processor speed... and if I can record 12 tracks at the same time on a processor that small (1.6) there is no reason I shouldn't be able to just mix it on my desktop. HELP!!!!

Thanx in advance

Initially, have you tried everything I suggest here? This is an Adobe thread, and there's quite a lot of explanation in it. I'm not going to copy it all, because the thread over there is set not to expire. But it does go some way to explain what happens in a lot of cases. The other thing that is sometimes implicated is video cards, and their interfaces - this is related to bus-hogging.

I'll have to try the end it all thing. Might help me out... because I do the ever-forbidden internet surfing and DAW in the same user profile thing.

I have 3 HD's running:
C (14gb... operating system and program files)
D (80gb... Storage of videos and music)
E (80gb... Adobe Sessions only).
Now should I have a paging file set up on each one of these? Or should I remove the one from the C drive?
