Cannot post
I am trying to paste in some error messages that I am getting from the forum, but when I try the forum says I cannot post here
:
You don't have permission to access /amforum/posting.php on this server.
Apache/1.3.34 Ben-SSL/1.57 Server at
audiomastersforum.net
Port 80
As you see after several attempts I managed! The message I actually wanted to report was this:
phpBB : Critical Error
Error creating new session
DEBUG MODE
SQL Error : 145 Table './audiomas/phpbb_sessions' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
This is just the first part of the message - when I try to paste in the whole message I get the "You don't have permission..." message! I must admit I am getting a bit irritated - so if someone can sort this out I would be very grateful!!!

Re: Cannot post
I tried to preview a new thread. I was told I don't have permission.
I went back one screen and attempted to post the new thread. Nothing happened. There was no response to clicking on the Post button.

Re: Cannot post
Doh!
It has to do with permission settings that affect ALL members (not admins). Will fix the problem, thanks for the notification!

Ah! I'd notice the backspace thing, but not yet commented. I note also that the avatars have not been restored (I've put mine back to restore Polly's good opinion of me
).

Just in case anyone thinks otherwise, it still doesn't work.

Re: Cannot post
Still the same thing. I haven't tried to preview since that first attempt. All others were simply "post." I get the same 'forbidden, not authorized' message that I first got for the preview attempt.

Ok, I'll look at it some more to try to find the problem. Which forum category are you trying to post in?

"General Audiio"
Have you made any other attempts? I've looked at all the permissions, and they seem fine. I also checked out your entry in the database, and it looks good to go. If you still have the problem then I will give you access to my temporary account so you can try a test post to see if it's working.

Re: Cannot post
I tried it in General Audio, then Hardware and Soundcards, then OT. All gave the same "forbidden, no permission to this server" message.

Re: Cannot post
Since that test works, as can be seen under General Audio, " there must be something in the settings on your account that is preventing you from posting." I can't see anything that seem even possibly related. What kind of "something" could do this?
