I'm new to Audition and I purchased it with the sole purpose of doing ADR work for video.  I have a 2 room sound studio where the first room is the actual enclosed sound booth and the other room acting as the control room which contains me, the computer and the mixing board.  Inside the sound booth, there is a monitor which is connected to the computer inside the control room.  I am trying desperately to get Audition to work for me but I am finding that it really might not do what i need.

I need the ability to output the Video signal to an external monitor via any means possible.. VGA, S-Video, Composite... anything.

I've tried several setups and the last one I was tinkering with was this:

1.  Connect external (sound booth monitor) via S-Video to my computer's video card.  I could configure this monitor in Display Properties and add it in a "dual monitor" type setup.

2.  Launch Audition and drag the Video Window onto the second monitor.  This is actually quite cumbersome because I can't actually see this monitor unless I leave the control room and run into the sound booth to see if its lined up, etc.  Also, there is no way to make the video FULL SCREEN, so its quite ugly getting the window bar, etc (least of my worries really)

Now, with this setup, it 'almost' works but now, I cannot see the Video because Audition only allows for ONE video window to be opened (the video window is only in the sound booth).  Is there a way to open 2 video windows?

If there is, I'm not aware of it. The method that I've heard of people using is pretty much as you describe in (2), but with a VGA splitter on the second monitor, and you run two monitors for the second screen, so that all parties involved can see the video. Clearly it's not perfect, for the reasons you describe, but it's a lot better than the operator not seeing the video at all.
