AA 2.0 keeps dropping into a PC restart when I do repetitive/extensive cut/paste/playback in edit view wave/spectral...Video Issue?  It maintains session recovery.  I have it on 1024 buffer (highest) with a Lynx 2 ASIO - with latest driver released weeks ago.  All input/outputs seem stable.  AA 1.5 never dropped like this on the same system.

P4 2.6 with HT
2GB RAM
C:=OS - Partition
D:=AA 2.0 - Partition - Local
Z: Audio Files and Temp. - Local
Lynx 2 on its own IRQ
256MB GeForce 6200 AGP VC

The other issue is it takes forever to write to CD.  Gets stuck at 95% whether its test or write, then it finishes 10 minutes later.

Sony DVD/CD Writer 24x and 8MB buffer - latest firmware.

Which buffer size do you assign to your writer?

It may not actually be similar but I work extensively in spectral view in CE2k on LP transfers. When I have a recording that needs a lot of manual click repair, the program behaves similar to how I understand your symptoms. The video starts to get very kinky and incomplete and I know everything will soon stop dead.

I've learned to recognize the symptoms, immediately save, note my current position, and close the program. Closing clears the problem and I can continue on with more declicking. Sometimes it is necessary to rebuild the pk file. On infrequent occasions the on-screen gap created in the video relates to an actual blank space (silence) in the audio file after the restart, but stopping in time generally avoids any file errors.

It is hard to be sure of what goes on because the entire system is out of resources and the monitor programs I attempted to use cannot display their results, but indications are that 16 bit GDI resources are all tied up. I rather hoped that AA was beyond using any 16 bit resources, but if it isn't ...
