Hi,

I got one of the keyboards from Editors Keys, but they've started doing training discs too, and just released a new disc for Audition 2, with some free tutorials on the page:

www.editorskeys.com

under products and discs.

only $44, whats the view?

Hmm... I looked at the 'normalise' extract, and they seem to have missed out on some rather fundamental things about how to use normalisation, and its relationship with the dynamics processor, and then come up with (as far as I can tell, because this is where it stops) a rather strange alternative using group normalisation for a single file...

If the whole thing is going to be like that, then I'd say that it is rather bizarre, to say the least. But this is only based on looking at one bit, I have to say. It doesn't tempt me to part with any money at all, quite frankly.

Is it me, or does anyone else find the voice over artiste to have a rather stress inducing voice?

It looks well-meaning but, like many of these things, seems to me to move too fast to engage the sort of people that I often train. Maybe the samples are not really representative?

I think the more of this sort of training video, the better but, like Steve, I don't think these samples would make me rush out and spend money.

She sounds like she's speaking to a small child -- it's the standard American "nice person" read.
