I'd like to be able to set the program to display files in Spectral Frequency Display not in Waveform Display right after they are opened.

The "Frequency Space Editing" workspace (one of those that comes from Adobe) seems to do this.

If you don't like the layout of it, I think you can replace it with one of your own by deleting the Adobe one and substituting your own using the same name.  I think that was the dodge I found a while back...

Thanks, I did not know that. But is seems that I cannot make my own workspace which behaves in this way - unless (maybe) if I replace their FSE workspace, as you suggested. But I don't want to try - if the replacing workspace doesn't work like I want, then I'll loose the only way to have files open in SFV. I tried to save the FSE workspace with a different name, but it did not work in the way I want. I'll try to explore it further, or maybe I'll read the manual...
