Not sure if that is the correct terminology, but want I want is to be able to select a number of tracks and lock them together so that any change in levels I do for one track affects all the linked tracks. I would like several links to be active at once so I can have different groups. I often need to change the levels of several tracks at different times in a song, but keep them in relation to each other. I guess there is no way to do that now or....... smiley

That counts as a workaround for me, I want to fade up a group at one point, then down again somewhere else, and adjust it until it sounds right. In a submix I can't change the relative levels and try again without lots of extra work, with ganged faders I coul "ungang", adjust, then gang again.

In 2.0 you can insert a BUS track, route all the tracks you want to "gang" to the BUS, route the BUS wherever you want it to go (Master, or another BUS).  That BUS track can have automation curves like any other track - no mixdown required.
