Dude,
At 2:40 into the Top40CHR demo, does the voice over guy say "The number one shit music channel"?
I'm not kidding... that's what it sounds like! Smiley

I listened to it several times - and it certainly does! I thought that this would, by definition, make it number two....  Cool

Reminds me of the commercial I've always wanted to make for that client that's having a SHITLOAD SALE!  Everything must go.

Marty, listened to three and they all sound great.

That does make good sense.  I should try to come up with a few 5 second (or less) tags that I could stick on samples and demo CDs.  Too bad I have no talent for such things.  Marty - look for a PM from me.

Marty, I reckon you should have left it as it was... we need truth in advertising! Smiley

In fact I think that the comedy element in your work Marty is of a very high quality and taken for granted, I don't think we have ever comented on that with your demos. Although comedy is not exactly original, you have managed to carry through, a very powerful entertainment tradition, and it's not so easy to incorporate into the sort of work you do. It's an aspect to your imaging that makes it original in this sense. I only have one tiny reservation, and this is most probably why none of us comment on the comdey, and that's their source. Don't like to ask but if your clients don't ask either, fine. This might be why many would not dare to copy the comedy, thinking that they would have to look around to snag bits from here and there. But I DO know of programme content services, use one myself, who do supply this kind of material for one's legitimate use.

Don't really want to open the old debate about what you can and can't rip from the TV and movies, but for the newbies' benefit the general advice is, to stay pretty safe don't rip recent stuff, as long as it's around 10 or more years old you're likely to be more OK with it that if it was something from Will & Grace or LOST. But even with the older stuff, copyrights do carry through for decades .. it's the stuff that's entered the public domain that's generally preceived as fair game, like e.g. Arnie's "I'll be back" or a real good oldie like The Fonz saying "Heeeey". But always think twice, do you you really want to risk getting your station into legal trouble using something without permission and get yourself fired? Not only have the lawyers got richer but they've got better!

The above's not aimed at you Marty, I hope you can separate the praise from the tips for the new guys.

Good work as always.
