I've been hearing about people using Sanyo dictation machines for recording speech for radio, and wonder if anyone here has any experience of them. I haven't found anywhere that I can get hold of or use one, but they do look nearly good enough from the specs.

They seem to record in mp3, some at up to 128kbps, and have some sort of record gain control on some models. They also have sockets for external mic and headphones. Some even seem to have a tiny speaker.

At  http://makeashorterlink.com/?G1EE111EA   the most likely models would seem to be the B170 or S250.

Has anyone used one?
