Well... maybe if you tied a bunch of them together!  I guess that would take A BUNCH though, huh?  I guess you could always do what I did with a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz... I used it to level up a wobbly anvil case on wheels.  (it has since found the garbage can... as did 3 Ensoniq PCI cards).   wink

Ooops!   embarassed   Well, if it's any consolation.... it did a remarkable job of leveling up the amp case!  Seriously, I had come by something better and didn't have a use for it anymore...    shocked

OK, my microphones came in, but there is a problem.  The mics were each advertised to be an Oktava MK-012.  What I recieved is one MK-012-01 and one MC-012-01.  Is there a difference?  Should I be concerned?  Is there a place for me to buy additional capsules (hypercardiod, omni) for them?

Thanks,
Josh

If I'm not mistaken, the -01 suffix indicates that you only get 1 capsule (cardiod).  There is another offer (suffix) that includes 3 different patterns.  And, yes... you can buy additional capsules at the Oktava site.  (and I would also think that Guitar Center would have them as well).   wink

Do you know if there is a difference between the MK and the MC designations?

Thanks,
Josh

Josh, mine are both MC-012-01.  They have one capsule (cardiod) and a -10db pad that threads inline if needed.  I'm not familiar with the "MK" prefix.  Have a look at this site.... http://www.oktava.com/ .  I think you could probably order additional capsules from them.   wink

Well, the mics look exactly the same, so I guess I'll just go up to the studio and play with them.

That site does have aditional capsules, but I'm a bit confused as to what I'll get... (is the price for one capsule, one pair, one matched pair, on price for the first, and the other price for the second?

Oh well, they will have to wait a while anyway.

Thanks for the help!
