Firstly, this community rocks - got tons of useful info on previous post - thanks!

It seems that all the renamers out there either only work with metadata info or don't have the option to break up the current file name into sections. As WAVs don't have any meta, I need to find a simple (hopefully free) program that will allow me to set multiple fields separated by a hyphen and re-order them. I am not a programmer and can't write code. I would like to go from this:

21 - The Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter - Let It Bleed.wav

to

The Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed - 21 - Gimme Shelter.wav

Anybody played this game before?

WWW

Anybody played this game before?

Yes - all the time.  I suggest you download a copy of Total Commander - from http://www.ghisler.com/ - and check out it's amazing features, which include a very adaptable file renaming tool.

Actually, just as a file manager, it knocks spots off anything that Windows has ever offered and I've been using it for years.
