Easy way to measure latency?

It seems the latency of my system keeps changing somehow, which is very strange.

Is there an easy way to measure latency? I recorded a drum part, snare and bass, and then played my drum machine along with the track trying to stay right on beat and then checked how close I was to determine latency. Is there an easier method?
