WWW

Have a huge live project: 15 songs, about 20 trks each.  Need to send session to my buddy Cal to troubleshoot & want to convert all the wavs to mp3's to lessen the transfer load (via YouSendIt).  However, when I do the batch conversion I still have to open the session & "find" the files which is going to be extremely time comsuming.  How do I convert the files in a way the session "remembers" them?

First create a sub-folder for each of the main song folders, then do a Save Session As... for the session, check the box that says to Save copies of associated files, then save to the newly created sub-folder. Just those files in the session will be there, then do the Batch processing on them.

This may be a bit late -- but good for anyone to know.

Yup...too late (as you know since you're the obne receiving the files!)

BUT...that was my first strategy, and when I went to open the newly created/converted session, it gave me the messg that it couldn't find each file - I had to click on the new file to "associate" it with the session again.

www.mediasweeper.com.au will allow you to remove unused media from your session folder.  It will also tell you exactly where AA thinks your media is located (and sometimes you may be surprised).
