CE2k on Windows 7 64-bit?

Hi,

I am wondering if Cool Edit 2k will load and run properly under Windows 7 64-bit. I may need to use Cool Edit for a small project and am satisfied with its' performance and don't want to upgrade to Audition.

I've just installed the basic CE2k and the Studio 4-track add on and registered them, and it all seems to work for a simple one mic recording on my Win7 64-bit machine.

I've only recorded, tried a simple edit and played back. The installers did throw up some Win 7 warnings asking if they had installed correctly, but all the basics seem OK.

I haven't tested whether parameters are remembered correctly between sessions, but that might not matter anyway.

I would be wary of soundcards under Win 7, though - see my thread in the Hardware and Soundcards area here. I can happily work around the problem, but haven't figured out why it's happening.
