I recorded an audio track and saved the session/audio as a .ses and .pcm file. There is also a .pk file, which I'm not sure what it's for. I closed Adobe Audition (1.5) and when I reopen the session it says "Interpret Sample Format As" with a bunch of options. I've tried to match them to what it was recorded at (16-bit, Stereo, 44100) but no matter what I do the audio comes out as screeching. Have I lost my recording forever? Sad

The saved audio file will have the suffix .wav. If you try to open the .pk file you will get a screech. it only stores the picture of the audio that you see on the screen and saves having to redraw it every time you open the .wav file in Audition.
