British Library Audio restoration manual
There is an interesting manual on audio archiving, preservation and restoration at this link and you can download a pdf file; I just started looking at it and for those who know more about these matters than I do, there may be useful information there. It was written by Peter Copland conservation mgr at the British Library Sound Archive.

He was at BBC Bristol until he left to go to the British Library in 1986. Unfortunately he died last year.
