I know it's been discussed here before, but I can't seem to find the right search strings to bring up the desired results.

What is the procedure for "Subtracting" one waveform from another ? For instance, after performing a Vocal Cut or Noise Reduction on a copy of a waveform, how do I then process the two waveforms (the original, and the modified) to leave me with only the material that was removed ?   afro

Line up the two waveforms so that they are sample-accurate, invert one of them and mix-paste it over the other.

A shortcut: Mix paste has an "Invert" checkbox, so separate inverting is not nessary.

Since you mentioned Noise Reduction, it has a "Keep noise only" option.
