It is if you have a copy of Nero - at least version 4(?) onwards. In the Nero installation folder is a file called neromp4.flt which you have to make a copy of, and put into your Audition program folder. When you restart Audition, you'll find it in your file types list when you open or save anything. Works fine...

Thanks Steve for cutting my work in half!  Now I won't have to use Itunes to convert them into mp3's.

Bets regards,

No such thing in Nero 7 or 8 - I guess they've changed or removed the plugin architecture to stop you doing this sort of thing.  I got the .flt file from elsewhere, but it just complains that it can't find the Nero Plugins directory.

I'll see if I've got any older copies of Nero around still to experiment with.

They may well have done - I got mine from Nero 6, and I think that it was in from 4 onwards, but I'm not absolutely sure about that.

WWW

I just installed a v5.5 in a virtual machine, and there's no trace of the FLT file there.  However, it should give me the DLLs that the FLT file wants to find - though I need to create the appropriate registry entry pointing at their directory, I think, which again I should find in the test installation.

According to the only bit I could read in english, the accessed DLLs should be

KERNEL32.DLL ADVAPI32.dll MFC42.DLL MSVCRT.dll USER32.dll

It so happens that I have an unused copy of Nero 5.5 here, so I have searched the contents for 'neromp4' and 'mp4', but without any hits. The dll's referred to by SteveG just sound like standard Microsoft dll's, which I wouldn't have thought would have provided any mp4 functionality.

I have no reason to install Nero on any machine at the moment, but if it helps anyone, just shout and I can give it a go.

There seems to be a version of it here:
