Hi. Ok - here's what is happening. I can't pan (sometimes). I pan 100% left to right and nothing changes. Audio just stays at center. Now I said sometimes because today I finally got it to start panning (not sure how). I finished mixing a song and it sounded fine - all was panned to taste. So I exported the file (using "Master" and "Stereo" settings) and when it finishes everything is at center again. Both sides of my stereo file look and sound just alike. Keep in mind I do not have this problem with AA 1.5.

It gets more interesting. I have a similar problem with Sonar 6. But when I try to pan - nothing happens. Oh - I can move the sliders, but nothing changes - audio stays down the middle.

I'm kinda getting crazy now. Plumb out of answers. This has to be a problem with my Echo Mia, correct? So I removed it, stuck it in another PCI slot and reinstalled drivers. Nothing.

Is there something obvious I'm missing here. I've been using Cool Edit Pro, then to AA 1.5 for probably 4 years or so (same Echo Mia card). No problems until now.

Any suggestions sure would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Harlon

I can't come up with an answer just yet - I need a bit more info. I have an Echo Mia and AA2 and have no problems with panning, so.....

Where are you doing the panning? Are you using buses? Are you using ASIO dirvers? Do you have the pan sliders on the Echo Mia panned left/right? And any other info you can think might help!

Try reinstalling the software for your sound drivers. See what happens. Reinstalling AA 2.0 / Sonar is a pita but sometimes that helps too. Defrag and clean your drive (See below). Scan with AdAware / Spybot for viruses as well.

I keep OS clean with:

JV16 Power Tools

CCleaner

TuneUp 2007

Ad Aware
