Hi all since its my first topic in this co0ol forum hope that it helps the users with my info..

i have the Mackie Control Universal and its was more than perfect when working with AA2

also i used Reason when i want to compose my music and its also working with the MCU

maybe you will find some buttons are useless but at all i see that its the best controller that fits with AA2.

also you can buy the extender 8 track controller and add it to your controller like the image below

and here is the overlay looks like for the audition ( its also support CE and AA 1.5 )

http://www.mackie.com/products/mcu/pdf/MCU_COOLEDIT_Overlay.pdf

for more info you can go to http://www.mackie.com/products/mcu/index.html

any 1 have tips or hint for the controller please share it Smiley

I am considering selling my Tascam US2400 and getting the MCU for AA2.0 (Thanks in large part to Tascams customer service which at this point is non-existent).  1 question though.  Does audition also recognize the 8 track extenders and C4?

WWW

Looking at the preferences dialog for external controller, it appears that only one device is supported.  There is no obvious way to configure a second controller like the extender or the C4, and neither of those are in the rather short list of controller options.

Zemlin thx for the feedback.  Like most posts I have read here and elsewhere, It seems that AA2.0 only supports 8 track external controllers.  That is rather disappointing, considering how powerful this software is especially with unlimited tracks.  Hopefully an update is underway to address this as well as other issues: vsti and improved midi support.

I decided to contact Mackie about this situation.  This is the responce:

Hey Raul,
Thanks for writing!  The MCU and XT are compatible with
Audition, the C4 however is not.  Hope this helps, thanks!

All the best,

So 2 out of 3 is not too bad.  I kinda figured the C4 would encounter problems but its good to know for certain that the MCU and XT extenders work with AA2.0!
