my 2.0 and BCF problems
Greetings everyone....i'm very glad that I found this board. I've been on it (mostly lurking until i registered) most of the day gathering information. Today, I purchased a BCF-2000. I have AA 1.5 and i've recently downloaded 2.0. I have yet to get the BCF to work with either. I've followed all set up instructions that i found on this board, but to no avail...the closest i get is the program freezing...i've had ONE fader jump. I've tried to hold down the BC and the power button at the same time but i never get it to say the right thing...it usually just says P-1 and when i release it after a while it just says "on". I can get it to go to EG, but i never can get it to do the MC thing. The device does register as USB Audio device in my manager, but I can not get it to show up in audition. Only once did it say bcf-2000{1} but after i clicked those it froze. Any takers, or should i just return this?? thanks again.

Re: my 2.0 and BCF problems
haha well i hope he gets a chance to answer.
Another thing i've noticed with 2.0 is with my tascam. I use a Tascam U-122 for recording to AA...when i try to use it with 2.0, it just makes a big midi type noise (like a piano noise...) but doesn't work much.

Well, then, I think you need to describe exactly what you are doing and perhaps provide a few more details of the PC etc.
I use a US-122 with a couple of laptops. One machine uses AA 1.5, the other 2.0, and the Tascam thing works more or less the same with both. Using asio drivers with 2.0 of course and the wdm drivers with 1.5.

Re: my 2.0 and BCF problems
hmm..must be a driver problem with 2.0...i think I need to upgrade.
My PC is a XP machine w/ a 2.60 gzh p4 processor...80 gig hard drive and 512 ddr sdram. It works fast, and runs AA 1.5 well with most everything.
Recently, I wanted to have more control of my music by using a controller for mixing. I learned using logic on a mac, and we had a control surface...it was great. I guess i got tired of using the mouse. Ideally I'd like for BF to work w/ 1.5...so far I have better success with that than 2.0. When recording for the most part, i use my U-122 or my Boss BR1600 (and then dump down to the computer using wav maker). I'll be more than happy to specifiy any steps or answer questions

Re: my 2.0 and BCF problems
Good news! I finally got frustrated enough to give behringer's tech support a call. They told me to basically reprogram the unit...so i got it re-programed witht the correct drivers and its working. It works excellent with 2.0. 1.5 works well (i just notice a tad bit of latency).
Now for that tascam haha...i guess i need new drivers to get it to work properly with 2.0

Re: my 2.0 and BCF problems
Glad you got it working OK.
With AA2 you just need to have reasonably up to date BCF firmware and operate in MCSo mode. This provides smooth fader, pan and transport controls which are all you really need. AA2 doesn't let you reprogram the two rows of buttons (although it should), but any such functions can be easily mapped to your computer keyboard.
BTW, to get the pan controls to work, you must first press the BCF's "Edit" key.
