Limiter triggering limiter?
Hey everybody!
I was reading a book on Audio Production which said a way to balance voice and music in a commercial is to have a limiter trigger a limiter. The text is as follows:
Another technique used to balance levels between an announcer and music, or between an announcer and other sounds such as crowd noise or traffic, is to feed each sound through a limiter and set one limiter to trigger the response of the other. In the case of a voice-over-music announcement, the limiter controlling the music would be set to reduce the music level to a preset point when it is triggered by the limiter controlling the announcer's sound. As soon as the announcer speaks, the limiter's actions automatically reduce the music level. When the announcer's limiter triggers the music's limiters to restore the music to its preset louder level. This can be done with a limiter and compressor."
I'm a bit dense- is this possible using Audition?
