"Font Capture.exe" won't unload when AA2 is closed

Did not see a way to do this in Control Panel for my AA2-only install. Does this maybe have to be done using the "repair" option for the existing AA2 install?

It was just there in "Add/Remove Programs" on both my machines.  They both had Photoshop on as well, though, so that might have been what put the uninstall there if Audition didn't.  Of course, if it is not used it is also taking up no resources other than the disk space.

Has anyone had to restore boot drive from an image like using Ghost -- does that affect the
activation at all?  I've done that with XP a couple times on systems running AA1.5 and
CEP 2.0 but not AA2.

I've just restored a laptop where I 'Ghosted' a 40gig drive off and back onto a 120gig. I've not had time to play with it much since then, but it works fine. If I remember correctly, I forgot about the activation issue and had to put the old drive back to de-activate and then re-activate with the new drive.

I think that is the case - the Bridge uninstaller isn't on the machine that has only Audition on it here. I'm afraid that the standalone install disc is rather screwed from this POV - you really shouldn't allow the installation of an entire app or two with hooks into the registry, etc without an uninstaller, should you? Naughty Adobe...

Thx to all of you-- I guess I'll remain "bridged" for now since not a lot of choice
on that one.  Adobe really should address some of these things so users can
simply install what they want/need, and then later on add other stuff that
Adobe supplies if wanted or needed to interlink with other programs, etc.

As is so true with audio many times -- less is often really more.

And nice to know Ghost will work OK with AA2 even if you have to de-activate
and re-activate.  Ghost has really saved me a few times when WinXP
has become badly messed up on some of the other systems. V-Com's
Fixit Utilities have been helpful too - they have a fairly good registry fixer
and also a reg. defragger plus some other things in that bundle.

I do a monthly cleanup with ghost & have had no problems with AA2. And I have not de-activated & re-activated. The activation is at a lower level than that. Somewhere on the Adobe site (I seem to remember) there was mention of low-level formatting being the only likely danger to activation.
