Someone sent me voice sound files in .aiff format. Audition 2.0 doesn't seem to recognize that file type (although it does recognize .aif).

Is this correct? Is there something I can download to have Audition recognize this file type, or should I have the person send me the files in another format?

Thanks, newbie trying to learn the ins and outs so my podcast novel won't sound like crap Smiley

WWW

I am unfamiliar with the file-type(since I'm not a Mac user), so I am unsure of the quality of the file. You can download a tool to convert the file into a wav.

Have you tried simply renaming the file so that the extension is just .aif? Audition has always opened any aiff files that I've been sent after doing this.

Cheers

Just stopping by to say I tried this and it worked... and here you are suggesting I do just that... if that made any sense whatsoever.

Thanks!
