A Real Trip Down Memory Lane...

So who remembers this? Yes it's the birth of the [t]cool[/t] Younglove decrackling method. Makes me wonder whether all of the old Synt forum is in the archive there as well. Have a real trip down memory lane at http://web.archive.org - I found almost my first website, dating back to 1996, tucked away there!

(I posted this in here cos it does show the Younglove method, though if you'd rather move it to OT that's fine by me )

I'd heard of that site, never tried it before.  Fun!  Have they been squirreling stuff away all these years - or how else does it work?

Faced with the usual choice between work and indolence, I've chosen the latter and had a rummage through the old forum posts there - then discovered that it doesn't go much earlier than the archive here.  

In doing so I came across an interesting early debate about high sampling frequencies including contributions from David Johnston which can be found by searching the archive for "quallity" (mis-spelt that way).  I guess I should check if it's already in the Achtung thread....

That site is unbelievable!  Hey, you can even see what www.syntrillium.com looked like back in the days of CEP1.2!  (sniffle, sniffle)

And... for those interested, type in www.studiocovers.com and you'll get some hits as well.  Same thing... you get to see some of the earlier pages.  

 

Hehe, what a cool link! I tested it with some sites that I thought wouldn't be included. But surprise surprise, they were!  That way I could even find information that they took away from the current sites.
