For the Sonar users out there...I found out today that you can do a registry modification in Sonar, that allows Sonar to automatically insert a selected audio track into Audition 2.0 from the Sonar Tool menu....it's a little tricky to set up, if you follow Scott Garrigus's tips you can figure it out. The instructions are found in his DigiFreq news letter Volume #2.

I made the modifications today, and it worked perfectly. I selected an audio track in Sonar, went to the Tools menu, clicked on Audition 2.0, and poof, AA2.0 opened up and the audio file was all set up in the edit menu, I then transferred it to the multi track screen, and then to the mixer, all worked like a charm.
This is perfect for transferring tracks out of Sonar and into Audition 2.0 for editing and mixing, then finally burning to cd or wav or mp3.
Note: The audio tracks I'm refering to were created using midi files or from a midi controller, then applied to various sound samples, and converted to audio wav files. This is a big deal to me because it gves me midi recording capabilities that work hand in hand with Audition 2.0.
Note: I'm using Sonar Home Studio 4XL.
