Okay, I've got the actual program working on my computer now. No more demo version. So I wanted to go thru the whole recording process from start to finish, to check things out. First problem was getting my soundcards configured right so I could record directly off my Kompakt Player into Audition, it took awhile fiddling around with settings in Audition, the soundcards, and Kompakt, but eventially I found a routing that worked the way I wanted it to....so now I can get crystal clear recordings, with a nice strong signal. Then I sent the recording into the multi-track section, then the mixer, and from there, using the export feature, I mixed it to a wav file and saved it to my desktop, then also using the export feature I sent it to the cd burner and burned a cd. Came out perfect. I was even able to save a cd set list.
I will admit, I struggled a little thru out the whole process, as I'm just not that familiar with the new program yet. It's very similar to 1.5, but enough changes to slow me down until I get used to the new program, but still worked great once I found the right buttons.
Only major problem I'm having is with the Tutorial dvd, it's start out playing fine but then the audio starts skipping like mad, unwatchable. It may be a problem with the Quicktime player, as I had to download a new version to even watch the video.....and the download didn't install 100% correctly, so that may be the problem....
After going thru the whole recording process, I'll have to say that, yes there are some changes, but I'll just have to get used to them, as the whole program as a whole, is great, and I intend to keep it for a long time. So I've got to buckle down, do some homework, some practicing, but in the end it'll be worthwhile.
My test recording came out perfect soundwise, and I can see where all the little things along the line added up to make a nice difference.
