I realise, but not highlighting all clips could be the cause of hidden clips not being played.

Yes, I do know that.  There have been a couple instances where no matter how many times I try highlighting all the clips (or do the select all clips option), a clip still stops playing when another one overlaps it.  Ill investigate further to see if I can reproduce it.

Try "check for hidden clips" which might reveal something lurking unbeknownst.  (Is that how you spell it?!)

Thanks, Steve, for letting OzPeter sleep wink.

It was a "no hurry" question -- between two churches and three little kids, I usually get to reading this forum about every fourth day!

That helps me understand the process.  Thank you.

At last! Adobe Audition has Non-Destructive editing like Soundforge.
I wonder how Soundforge will strike back? Multitracking. smiley  rolleyes
They might need to make a better GUI as well, the current one is yukky.

They don't need to, as they already have a multitrack app - vegas.  In March their main audio multitracker is set to become Acid 6.0, as vegas continues to concentrate on video editing.  We shall see...

BTW, it hasn't been Sound Forge for a revision or two.  It's owned by Sony.
