This is a late post, but i have the solution to your problem. Go through all the procedures laid out in the mackie notes, but instead of opening the midi file in audition, CLOSE Audition , and open the file in windows media. Then turn off mackie controller, and restart it in loader mode, (as described in mackie notes). Play the midi file in windows media, it takes about 1 minute 30 seconds. your display on the mackie controller should be displaying dots. When it is done, close windows media, open audition, and all should be well

I guess I am either lost or maybe just tired. I have been working on this for about 3 hours now and no luck yet. I have closed all programs and tried playing the midi file in Windows Media Player but it does nothing. Do I need to make any changes in Windows Media or anything. I have foillowed the instructions to the "T" and no luck. Any help is appreciated.

I don't know if it is needed by anyone else. I finally got my Mackie Control to update the firmware using a small program suggested by Mackie called MIDI-OX www.midiox.com It worked perfectly and very fast. I hope this helps someone if they are trying t upgradr the firmware.

But after updating the firmware, I still have no control of AA 1.5. So does this controller not work with AA 1.5?
