I've got an HP Pavilion 510W with an integrated sound card (on the mobo?) and the SoundMax Driver from what I can tell. Sorry I'm not too technical right now, my PlayStation was made out of wood. :-)
When I record with CEP 2.0 or any other software my recording level is very low. I've searched this forum and went through all the troubleshooting I could find and still don't get a decent recording level. All volume sliders are all the way up, boxes checked, different mics, nothing works. I get to about -30 db max.
I put in a little generic sound card and got a perfect recording level, but it's lacking the output that the integrated card has.
Any suggestions while I'm trying to find a way to sneak an Echo Mia into the house?
Thanks, Brad.

There's not a lot you can do about this - I suggest you start looking for a jacket with big pockets .

Another good "way in" is....... if you have a "general" computer that the wife and family all get on, open it up and disable the soundcard. Let one of them "discover" that it's broke and then you jump into action...... open up the computer and mull around and announce that the soundcard is bad and needs replacing. Go buy the MIA, come home and open up the "general" computer again and plug the sound card back in. Whallaa.... you have become everyone's hero and scored the MIA to boot. Now, it's just a matter of finding the opportunity to open the "music" computer and stick the MIA in. Sounds complicated, but remember this..... most of us are Santa Claus and pull it off every year! Good Luck Voodoo
Well..... you did ask for suggestions!!!

Well Voodoo, that's a good idea, and it might work....
That is, until the wife sees "MIA" on one of the bank statements - Jealousy will then take over...
("Brad!? Just who's this 'Mia' woman, and why are you spending $200 on her???!!!)
:D
